- Preparation: Proper preparation is the foundation of successful UV DTF pressing. The target surface—be it glass, metal, plastic, or wood—must be clean and free of contaminants like dust, oil, or moisture. Dirty surfaces can lead to poor adhesion or defects in the final design. You can use isopropyl alcohol to thoroughly clean the surface. Then allow the surface to dry completely before proceeding. Don't forget to cut the UV DTF film, trim it to the desired size or shape. This ensures precise placement and reduces unnecessary adjustments during application.
- Align the Design: This step requires careful attention to avoid misalignment or air bubbles. Remove the protective backing from the adhesive side of the UV DTF film and carefully align the adhesive side of the film onto the target surface. Double-check the positioning to ensure accuracy before pressing it down.
- Pressing the Film: Once the design is aligned, it’s time to secure it in place. Use a scraper tool or squeegee to apply firm and even pressure across the entire design. Start from the center of the design and work outward. This technique helps to eliminate air bubbles and creases, ensuring a smooth finish.
