Modix Launches MAMA-1700 and New Line of FGF 3D Printers

Modix (modix3d.com), a leader in large-format 3D printing technology, proudly announces the launch of the Modix MAMA-1700 and a new line of FGF (Fused Granulate Fabrication) 3D printers.

New Line of FGF 3D Printers

As Modix celebrates its 10th anniversary in the 3D printing industry, the company is excited to introduce its new line of FGF printers. This innovative FGF technology represents a major leap in large-scale 3D printing, using pellets instead of filaments to significantly increase print speed from grams per hour to kilograms per hour. This advancement allows for the production of life-size objects in hours rather than days. Moreover, FGF technology reduces printing costs to a few dollars per kilogram and expands material availability to include recycled and high-density filled pellets.

The new MAMA line includes various machine sizes to meet the demands of large industries such as marine and aviation, supporting applications like molds and final products. These printers will be available as self-assembly kits, with local assembly and assistance provided through Modix's network of 50 specialized resellers worldwide.

Introducing the Modix MAMA-1700

The MAMA-1700, the first model dedicated to FGF technology, will soon be available for preorder. Orders will be accepted starting in early July, with production beginning in August and deliveries commencing in Q4-2024.
