Gallus One Unlocks New Levels of Modularity and Flexibility for Converters at drupa 2024

Gallus Group, a subsidiary of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, has unveiled groundbreaking advancements in modularity, versatility, and flexibility with its leading Gallus One digital press at drupa 2024. The new "System to Compose" concept revolutionizes the printing industry by allowing converters to add, remove, or replace print and auxiliary units interchangeably across Gallus' leading product lines.

Introducing the "System to Compose"

Gallus' innovative "System to Compose" concept addresses the evolving needs of the label printing market. This approach provides label printers with unprecedented adaptability, enabling them to "compose your print masterpiece" by seamlessly integrating additional units much like instruments in an ensemble. This enhancement is a significant step in meeting current and future market demands, offering label printers a flexible and efficient solution to stay competitive.

Enhanced Gallus One Features

The Gallus One digital press, previously limited to a 340mm print width, now offers a new 430mm print width option. This increase in width enhances production efficiency, versatility, and opens up new profitable revenue opportunities. Additionally, Gallus has expanded the Gallus One’s color gamut with the introduction of Orange and Violet inks, developed in collaboration with HEIDELBERG, providing converters with improved color vibrancy and brand differentiation on the shelf.

Putting Converters in Control

Gallus' new "plug-and-play" approach significantly reduces the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for reel-to-reel digital labels, integrating high levels of automation and cloud-based technologies. The Gallus One now incorporates proven Gallus Labelmaster modules, including upstream and downstream flexo and screen printing units, cold- and hot foiling, embossing, gravure printing, and a die-cutting unit. This integration boosts modularity, speed, and quality, allowing converters to enhance their capabilities, adapt to market changes, and improve profitability in real time.

With these advancements, Gallus empowers converters to take control of their production processes, offering them the flexibility to grow and adapt their solutions as their business evolves.
